Nice to meet you,
I’m Cheryl.

About Me

I’m a product design leader, coach, and writer with over 15 years of experience across startups, publishing, and big tech.

Over the course of my career, I’ve worked across Hong Kong, Toronto, New York, and San Francisco, building products and leading design teams in fast-moving, high-performance environments. My background spans product design, branding, growth, monetization, editorial, and AI-driven products — from startups to globally recognized tech companies.

Much of my career was shaped by learning how to navigate environments where I often felt different: as an introvert, immigrant, and outsider working across cultures and industries. Earlier in my career, I wasn’t always confident speaking up in rooms where communication styles, cultural references, and expectations felt unfamiliar to me. Over time, I learned that career growth depended on much more than doing strong work — it also required learning how to communicate value, navigate influence, advocate for ideas, and build trust across teams.

That realization eventually became the foundation of my coaching work.

Today, I work with creatives in tech who want to grow beyond execution alone, especially those navigating visibility, influence, leadership, burnout, or career transitions in a rapidly changing industry shaped by AI, high-performance culture, and constant adaptation.

Outside of work, I’m also a mom, a children’s book author, and someone deeply interested in creativity, identity, culture, and the many non-linear paths people take throughout their lives and careers.
