I’m Cheryl.
About Me
I’m a product design leader, coach, and writer with over 15 years of experience across startups, publishing, and big tech.
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked across Hong Kong, Toronto, New York, and San Francisco, building products and leading distributed design teams across three continents in fast-moving, high-performance environments. My background spans product design, e-commerce, growth, monetization, editorial, and AI-driven products, from startups to globally recognized tech companies.
Much of my career was shaped by learning to navigate environments where I often felt different: as an introvert, foreigner, and outsider working across cultures and industries. Those experiences taught me that career growth is not only about doing strong work. It is also about learning what matters to you, making choices under pressure, and finding ways to lead that feel like your own.
Today, I work with designers and creative leaders who are thinking more intentionally about what comes next. Some are navigating a change in role, leadership, location, or life. Others have built successful careers and are beginning to ask what they want their ambition to make possible.
My work brings together product leadership, coaching, and a deep respect for the realities that shape our decisions: work, family, identity, culture, creativity, energy, and the life we are trying to build alongside our careers.
Outside of work, I’m a mom of three, a children’s book author, and someone deeply interested in the many non-linear paths people take throughout their lives and careers.
